We received a call from a medical office looking for Grout Recoloring services in Manhattan. They explained that they had realized the cleaning company they hired had been using the wrong products to clean the tile floors and that they looked very strange -as if they were wet-, and the grout lines had completely changed colors since the tiles were installed. They asked us to pay them a visit for an evaluation and estimate on what needed to be done, and so we set a date.

On the day of the evaluation, we confirmed what the practice owners had suspected all along, the use of wrong cleaning products had taken effect on the tiles and grout of this floor. Grout lines had accumulated a great deal of dirt and the tiles had a shiny, uneven layer of some sort. We explained that to get the floor looking like new again, a tile and grout cleaning and grout recoloring service were necessary. They asked us if we could do the job outside of office hours so the work at the medical office wouldn't be affected and we told them that that was not a problem for us.

On the date set to start the job, we arrived at the office and started the process by applying our proprietary tile and grout cleaner. To loosen and remove that layer of accumulated "cleaner", we used our cutting-edge, high-speed scrubber to deeply clean the entire floor. No repairs were necessary because the grout was in good shape so we proceeded to recolor the grout using our proprietary product ColorSeal. This product, besides recoloring grout and making it look like new again, protects it against stains and makes it water resistant. Apart from floors, ColorSeal can also be used on tile walls and showers. After the color sealing is done, we buffed on TileArmor sealant to the entire floor, to give further protection to the grout lines and to protect the tiles against spills and stains. This product also makes the floors easier to clean. The advantages of these processes are that they are cost-effective, durable, and most importantly, of the highest quality.

Because the work was done outside of office hours, our clients could not see the results until they returned to work on Monday. When they saw the floor, they could not believe their eyes. Not only the floor, but the entire office looked like a completely different place. They gave us a call to thank us for doing such a great job, and we took the opportunity to give them some recommendations on how to care for the floor properly.

We explained to them that they needed to emphasize to their cleaning company that a pH-neutral, soap-less cleaner had to be used in order to preserve the tile and grout's condition. Also, that the floor should never be left to air dry, any excess cleaner or water needs to be removed, that is why we recommend the use of a dry towel or terry cloth after moping, this prevents dust and dirt settling on stagnant water or cleaner.
